We urge a reconsideration of the new pickup process.

We understand that the school has taken a stance on "security" as the catalyst for this process but when bike riders walk out by the gym without any security check this seems to be a smokescreen.

Our school is centered in a community and by forcing us to stay in our cars at pickup we can't socialize with our peer group of parents - no informal meetings at the park to allow our children to play can be made and our sense of belonging has been eroded.

We understand the new process was well intended but we've given up more than we've gained. As such we urge a reconsideration of the new pickup process.
