Make Pennsylvania Avenue Safer: Reduce the School-Zone Speed to 15 MPH

Please make it safer for children

As much as drives think 15 mph is to slow in an elementary and day care zone, let one of their babies, children or spouse get hit and see what happens. Lower the speed limit!!

This needs to happen! Between people pulling in and out from the school, to the daycare, its dangerous!

My children attend both the elementary school and daycare in this location. I have seen multiple accidents due to people driving unsafe and not paying attention. I think everyone, but ESPECIALLY, the younger kids would benefit from a lower speed limit and increased law enforcement presence.

I’ve seen people FLY through this specific school zone, kids should feel safe getting on and off the bus, AND at school! Please, for the love of god and all things holy, put the school zone speed limit there!

30 mph in a school zone is way too fast and creates unnecessary hazards for the children! There is only one sign alerting that there is a school zone and there is no marker where it ends. Changes need to be made to keep the kids safe.

My children go to both Elk Elementary Center and Creative Learning Center. Extra precautions in the area would tremendously help with all the children in the area.

I strongly, strongly support this petition. As a parent to a toddler and a 7-month old, whom attend Creative Learning center, I have documented MULTIPLE occasions of vehicles driving with true recklessness or care to the fact this is a childcare center and parking for drop off/pick up is right at the edge of the main road- it is scary, every single day. One of my greatest fears is my toddler stepping even away from me near our vehicle, as the cars on the main road pay little to NO attention to their surroundings….

Please move forward with this there have been so many instances of fear trying to get on and off Pennsylvania Ave

Encountered many situations pulling out of daycare almost being hit due to speeding.

My daughter attends Elk Elementary Center and my son attends preschool at Creative Learning Center. The speed limit needs to be reduced.

Please reduce the speed limit in this area.
