Good idea to close slip road and create a village green. Not a good idea to close sheen lane to traffic as it is busy on all days of the week.

I think Milestone Green would really benefit from some flowers & green grass. It feels unloved and it is the site of an important memorial. We can do better!

Sheen Lane Centre would be ideal - unfortunately they have recently spent a fortune on the re paving, floor lights and ill placed benches there, so wont re-visit it that soon! Whilst the area proposed is not the most pleasant for sitting in, a green little island will look so much better than the concrete slab we currently have - it will break up the main road a bit.

A much better area for markets and public events and pleasant seating areas, away from the traffic fumes and dangerous road crossings, would be Sheen Lane Centre, Mortlake Green, the gardens at the Hare & Hounds pub (they already host many of the community events).

A great idea to improve the local community feel but not in this particular spot. I agree with those who say we should use the space at the Sheen Lane Centre instead. If you live right next to Milestone Green you will know that already our sleep is badly disrupted by the number of drunken parties, fights and yelling in the small hours, especially in the summer but in fact all year round. The impact on traffic in the area would be even worse.
