come on council, this is for everyone, but especially young people, giving them opportunities they otherwise would not get. We are led to believe that young people are important and matter so show it by making this happen and making a lot of people happy. Music is very important for mental health and wellbeing. Thank you

It turns out that council rules and scheduled meetings meant that we were unable to secure funding from the Dewsbury and Mirfield District Committee in time for the event on June 20th and 21st. However this petition is helping in other ways so thank you everyone who has signed it so far. I am looking into an alternative venue that can accommodate at least 500 people to still allow us to go ahead with MFEST but we had to declare the event cancelled as far as the Showground is concerned due to the sheer size of that operation and the related costs involved.

It would be such a shame for this festival not to go ahead. I went last year with my family and had an amazing day even with the rain. its call mirfield show ground for a reason so help mfest put on a show to remember. And show all the young up and coming tallent our area has to offer.
