Students, faculty, and members of the general public,
2016 is a time where self-expression should not be oppressed. The world in which we live should be accessible and equal for all. On the Memorial University St. John’s Campus there are two gender-inclusive restrooms, both located on the 6th floor of the University Centre. This is something that needs to change, so all people have access to a washroom in each building. I am proposing two bathrooms per-building on our St. John’s Campus be changed to gender-inclusive washrooms, equipped with infant change tables. We cannot do this motion alone. If you are interested in supporting this cause, please sign the petition below so this issue can be brought to the Memorial Administration to show the support for this notion.

This is long overdue! Being in and out of MUN 10 years, this is the most concrete petition and proposal I have seen to date and closely follows suggestions I had made a few years ago in private to some trans activists based on what other universities do. MUN, please make this happen! :)
Finally!! Walking all the way to the 6th floor just to use the bathroom during a break is ridiculous. Do better MUN.
It's 2016. It's about time every public building have this in place!
