Make Malaysian airsoft a legal and supervised recreational activity

Airsoft should be legal in Malaysia. Of course not individualy but by having a club @ at the place like paintball arena. Thats to ensure that the police @ people thats monitoring this sport can check @ report if anything happened. For me, I would like to make it legal coz I am interested in this business. Thats to add a sport which can make young generations away from the unhealthy activities. Make them play this sport within a place. They can have a gun @ pistol but have to be licensed by the authority & they cant get the gun out of the club. The gun must be keep at the club. They pay the rent where they put the gun. RM1 @ RM10 per month will be ok. Anyway, I like airsoft & would like to see it as a legal sport in the future.

I'm 508 Wataniah Regiment and I know this sport will boost tactical skill for Malaysian Wataniah army.

A blanket ban on guns would be harmful in the long run in public view of such things. The government has made multiple PSA's about gun safeties and regulations but at the same time do not draw the line where a deadly weapon is differentiated from a safer non-lethal sports tool. While I do realize there are potential implications on airsoft and the such being legalized there may be also potential solutions. Some countries have the guns have approved markings to distinguish them from real guns (these include brightly colored tips such as in legally marketed toy guns in malaysia). Thailand for instance, places certain restrictions on what kind of airsoft can be owned. If anything, Malaysia would need its archaic gun laws to be updated in order to not limit and hamper its potential in both sports and economy as well as public knowledge and view of guns in general. Lest we fall behind other SEA countries such as Thailand and Philippines in capitalizing on this growing sport (airsoft, gel blasters and the like).

I've watched people play airsoft, and i'll admit that i gotten interest in it, and i really hope airsoft can be legalize in Malaysia, thou not down right legalize but maybe add in a few restrictions for safety, like for exp: you can only bring out your gun in a specific area(shooting range or club area for exp), gun must stay in box/case in public areas, age restriction, background check etc. and there are some sports that might cause some injury boxing, fencing or other sports that can do some serious injuries if not taken carefully, so why not airsoft? worst you can get is from a bruise that sting no more painful than a bee sting to get shot in the eye and go blind(but surely protective gears are mandatory, so it's your own fault for not wearing one on.) as long we follow these regulation it should be fine, besides, paint ball and airsoft aren' that different, just different ammunition and appearance, just treat it like a paint ball gun sport.

I want to have airsoft gun not just for playing but for cosplay as well. Like come on how am I going to cosplay a character from a shooting game when I don't even have a gun to go with the costume

Please legalised Airsoft.I want to live in a country which I can do whatever I want just like the US.Airsoft it's just a hobby or sport.
