As a year 7 parent I very much hope Kingsdale puts wheels in motion quickly on this and can make alternative environmentally responsible arrangements for mealtimes.

I’m a year 7 student and I feel strongly about climate change and plastic pollution. I bring my own cutlery to school. I am disappointed that my school throws away so much plastic cutlery each day.

I’m a new parent at Kingsdale and I’m horrified by the use of so much throw-away plastic each and every day at the school. My daughter brings packed lunch so I didn’t find out immediately, but it really seems to me to be beyond belief that such a leading school should be setting this example of throw-away culture to the students and lacking any sort of facilities to recycle even paper. I fervently hope the new crop of parents and students can work with the school to make the changes desperately needed as soon as we can.
