The dog this officer shot was running with a pack of stray dogs that was terrorizing the neighborhood. Officer did nothing wrong by putting the dog down.

F*** no! Why does this keep happening? Because people think animals are fun and no work. When they realize it's work and can be expensive they just leave them to their own devices or dump them. Our shelters are full and they're not getting the best treatment. A big percentage of them are put down to make space for new comers. Having a furbaby is just that. They are babies. They are like a child. Treat them like family or f*** off and don't get them. Just saying. I definitely feel like there needs to be updated training for officers cuz they mostly suck or don't care. I realize there are situations in which a 20lbs+ dog is being aggressive but there needs to be a different policy in place instead of just shooting a dog in broad daylight in front of people.
