As a person who works in Tobey Village Office Park, I can attest to the large volume of traffic both upon my arrival and departure from work.

I agree, it is only a matter of time before there is a terrible accident at the entrance to Tobey Village Office Park from Jefferson Road. This will only become more of a hazard when large, slow moving construction vehicles begin moving through this section of Jefferson Road and anxious drivers attempt to circumvent them without visibility.

Very important for safety to have the Signal installed now.

I have worked at this location for 11 years. Making a left hand turn out of Tobey Village Rd onto Jefferson, during weekdays, is very difficult due to sight line impairment, both left and right, as the road dips in both directions as it approaches the intersection, making it hard to see approaching traffic. Also, westbound traffic speeds are often well above 55mph, which is 10 mph above the limit, due to the double lanes (both directions). Because there are two exit lanes on Tobey, vehicles turning onto Jefferson will "creep" forward to obtain a view of traffic, causing the second lane to also "creep" forward so that they can see beyond the first vehicle. Then the other vehicle moves forward, etc. The end result is that noses of BOTH vehicles often end up in righthand lane of eastbound Jefferson Road. Finally, since there are many visitors to the office complex, they are unfamiliar with the peculiar features of this intersection, and exit slowly - resulting in Jefferson Road traffic honking horns and slamming on brakes. I have seen it hundreds of times and cringe each time - expecting to see a T Bone collision. . It's only a matter of time until these conditions result in a fatality. A light is desperately needed, now.
