Hello Friends!

My name is Ken Raimondi and I'm a filmmaker and bone marrow transplant survivor. In September 2011, I was diagnosed with a rare disease called Aplastic Anemia (bone marrow failure). After my initial treatment for the disease failed, I had the option to pursue a bone marrow transplant and a chance at a cure. I didn't have any relatives that matched and the only reason I am here today is because a stranger took the time to join the national bone marrow registry and answered the call to give when he was asked. He is no longer a stranger…but a friend. I thank God for Cameron Walker's gift!

Now I feel a renewed purpose in my life. As an independent filmmaker, I want to tell a complete story of a bone marrow transplant from an unrelated donor and patient's perspective. The only way I can do this is with your support. I tried to tell the story of Sara Scotti but sadly the hospital did not grant me access. I have another survivor who wants her story told and we are about to approach the PR staff with our request.

I would like to show the support that is already out there for this type of story. I don't have the backing of a studio or a major TV network…but if I could get your backing and that of your friends, maybe we can show that their is an audience for this story.

Please sign the petition and share it in your networks. You could be the difference in getting this film made. You could be part of helping to educate and motivate others to become life-saving donors.

Thank you for your time,

Ken Raimondi

I am proud to claim Cameron Walker as my nephew. I have met Mr. Raimondi and his beautiful family. There is a tremendous story in these donations and lives extended and saved.

My 17 year old sister was cured from Aplastic Anemia with a BMT from an unrelated donor in 2011- excited to see how this film can raise awareness for Aplastic Anemia & rally more bone marrow donors! Thank you!

My daughter-in-law had the very disease and would have died had she not had the bone marrow transplant. Luckily she had a family member who was a match. I did not know until this happened that the donor does not have to have the same blood type to be match. The public needs to be educated about this.

I think it's a brave move to allow a documentary of this harrowing process and trust that all will be respected in production. It is such an easy thing to do to save a life so more awareness around donation is definately helpful!

As a 16yr SAA and post BMT survivor you have my support. I hope you are able to accomplish your goal. This would be another great way to spread awareness and the importance of Bone Marrow Donors and the continued need for more. As well as show how becoming a donor can give someone a second chance at life.

I also have Aplastic Anemia and may need a transplant one day. If that day comes, I pray there will be a match for me on the registry. This film would increase the odds of that. Thank you!

Hi Ken, I read your story today and I'm touched. I would be happy to get in touch with you again, after our first meeting in Herat. All my greetings for you and your projects
