This petition is aiming to cap the rental cost increases by the inflation rate for the year or 5%, which ever is lower, in the Isla Vista area. This will help to allow for UCSB students to better be able to afford rent and keep the cost of living lower, who are currently being forced to pay increasingly high rents that are very unaffordable for many people.
