Through the recent Coronavirus pandemic and civil discourse across the nation interim chief J.H. “Howie” Thompson has guided the city of Greenville through these troubling times. With his impeccable leadership and planning he has created a safe environment for all citizens to express themselves through unbiased guidance. The goal of this petition is to encourage the government of the city of Greenville to confirm interim Chief Thompson as the permanent chief of police because of his impeccable character, commitment to service, and loyalty to the people of Greenville regardless of race, sex, or religion.
