Limiting the number of people in a club does not make a club any more dedicated or focused, it's up to individuals to bring that to the table, as far as that's concerned. By restricting the incredibly overwhelming amount of people that have shown interest in HOSA, you are holding back the 5/6ths of us whom do not qualify to be one of the selected 40; further, you are taking away our fair opportunity to show our passion and commitment for the club, improve our skills, and enjoy the competition and where HOSA may take us.
Setting that aside, it is only in the interest of the principal and/or administrators that we invite all those who would like to participate in the club with open arms. International Academy consistently places high in events and advances to further competitions. This only elevates our schools reputation and builds up the recognition we constantly receive.

They think they are doing good by cutting HOSA, but they are looking at the situation from their offices and desks, not from the students perspective. They think they help us but they hinder us. They think they push us forward, but they hold us back. They do this for them. Not for us.

Extracurriculars are an important aspect of getting into college. Without DECA, students lose a major group. Cutting down causes even lower chances.

I wanted to be a part of Hosa since 8th grade and I was a bit dissapointed when I heard that people would be cut. Even if I don't make it, other people should have a chance so increase the number of spots available.
