My housemate here at college has just recently been cyberstalked, harassed and bullied. However, Facebook refuses to do anything about it. They refuse to take down the offensive page that posted her picture, name, home address, telephone, school in attendance and school address in a menacing way. ALSO WITHOUT HER PERMISSION. This puts not only her, but ALL FIVE OF US living here in a very real amount of danger. I have seen this happen to a couple of other people, and I saw it completely devastate their lives. My roommate has already had to change her phone number due to the amount of harassment that she's received. She's also had to delete all of her Facebook pages. She was willingly involved in a group that she thought stood for something good. However, after something bad happened, she was virtually attacked. Since this incident, she has received several death threats. Facebook STILL hasn't taken the page down. Facebook has actually threatened to take the pages of the people reporting the page down. What kind of society do we live in where the BULLY gets justice and the VICTIM gets shafted? Help me get this page taken down! SPREAD THIS AROUND! UPDATE: The same people have posted this page, harassing a boy by using homophobic references and vulgar sexual phrasing in order to shame and humiliate this FOURTEEN YEAR OLD BOY from Canada. Facebook also isn't recognizing this as cyberbullying.
