Cyberbullying Laws in Wisconsin
Cyberbullying is a type of bullying that happens online through social media and messaging apps. Cyberbullying can be anything like mean or rude comments, life-threatening comments or messages, or messages telling someone to harm theirself. Cyberbullying can happen at anytime or come from anyone. Most bullies take to the internet t bully their victim because they can remain anonymous. Of all 50 states, only 34 states made cyberbullying illegal. Wisconsin is one state that has still allowed cyberbullying to remain legal. That is not right and it needs to be changed. Not only is cyberbullying wrong, or any other kind of bullying for that matter, but it drives 20% of kids being cyberbullied to think about committing suicide. That is a big issue and something needs to be done about it. This is that something. Cyberbullying needs to be illegal in all 50 states and Wisconsin could be the 35th state to make it illegal.
