As an adult experienced drive I hate this intersection

This is a very dangerous intersection. I have always felt I was taking my life in my hands every time I go through it.

My husband and I considered purchasing a home off this road. We decided the roadway was too unsafe after seeing several near misses from people turning left onto Mountain View road. I would not want my children to learn to drive on that road, it's too dangerous.

This intersection is terrifying everyday! Extremely poor visibility, especially if the grasses are grown up and it's near impossible to see if cars are coming from the south. I would also suggest that the large tree on the south side of Stefaniga be taken down, as it's too close to the edge of the road and has been run into several times if someone takes the turn off of Mountain View at too wide an angle. My son ran into the tree on a dark and rainy night because he had to turn hard and fast to avoid oncoming traffic that was speeding. He veered slightly to the right, barely leaving the road and ran up on the tree. It happened again a few days ago with another driver. An unnecessary risk.

This needs to be a VDOT priority

This corner needs to have a complete stop sign from all directions. It allows a safer access to the road. The only way to really know if a car is coming is to roll down my window during the day to listen for cars ( with my hearing loss ) or at night look for headlights coming from either direction. It's not safe.

Dangerous intersection

My daughter was involved in an accident at this intersection. I see at least one close call EVERY day.

Please make it safe.

I have had several near misses with vehicles coming southbound as I was turning left off of stefaniga.

Bad intersection

I’ve almost experienced a few accidents here before.

This is a dangerous road. Trying to get in the lane from Stefaniga to Mountanview means revving your engine to make it safely. On wet or icy days, this can mean spinning your wheels and potentially losing control. Please also fix permanently the dangerous s curve further down Stefaniga. The road is losing asphalt with serious potholes on the edges. I have been nearly hit twice in the last few week by someone moving to avoid the pothole on the side of the road and I am coming around the curve unable to see them. Its a head on collision waiting to happen.

Nearly died because of this stupid road. Something needs to be done since people drive crazier each year and don’t obey the speed laws at times..

Every time I turn in or out of the road I always feel the need to pray before because I know that any on coming traffic will have no idea that I'm there and similarly I won't know that there's on coming traffic until it's too late because of the hill blocking the view.

Have had several close calls at this intersection!

They need to cut the trees back on stefaniga and Poplar Road! We have too much traffic and people get close to the yellow line to stay away from the trees and we are having terrible wrecks!

Unbelievably dangerous in the mornings and evening rush hour time frame. Cannot believe nothing has been done. Tragedy waiting to happen!
