This will add some modern vibrancy to the city. And the North needs some brightening up.

This could be a great addition to a regeneration project for the area. I have read some comments that suggest it would detract from the area but clearly they have not been there. This place needs a lift, this could well be it! so Yes build the arch.

Dublin needs a Chinese district, help encourage development, culture, acceptance & would be another feather in our tourist bow...

Wonderful restaurants and feeling of welcome is what greets you when you walk down Parnell Street. Let's put up a Chinese style gate to mark the area and celebrate Asian diversity in our city.

Hopefully clerys redevelopment goes ahead, Gresham sale leads to good things and proposed parnell square national library development goes ahead with this would all mean a huge boost to a depressingly low and gloomy place at the moment. Dirty grey and full of antisocial behaviour anything that will help rejuvenate this area in a positive manner is a good thing. Best of luck

This is a brilliant idea. This area of Parnell St, Moore St and North Capel St is a Chinese Village already. By making this area an official Chinatown would bring more tourism as well as Irish people to the area and would greatly improve the area as a whole,

Great idea to show our cultural diversity and bring a much needed shot in the arm for the north inner city.....other cities have done this with great success, why would we not do the same?....
Let the games begin!
