Great station. Takes me back to high school days, OD & the Pad, Sonny's At Cherry Grove, the Beach Club with Maurice & the Zodiacs, life guarding at OD in the early 60's , and more.

At last! A radio station that play my kind of music... Born and raised in eastern NC and grew up listening to this genre. Please make it a permanent station. There's just nothing else to listen to!

Hey all you Shaggers! Just found out that they're going to keep SiriusXM's Carolina Shag (#13) on the air until Sept. 6. It had been slated to go silent just about now so that's great, great news. We really achieved something but we've only won this battle and not yet the war. Please circulate this petition to anybody you know who hasn't already signed it. Let's keep the pressure on the good people at SiriusXM to have Carolina Shag radio up and running throughout the entire year. With your help, "it will stand."

I have this channel programed in my car and has been the only station I have listened to since learning about it. It would be a shame to lose it. If it becomes permanent, my husband wants to sign up for SiriusXM just for this one station.
