They should do right by it. Because of the original format don't be cheap about care about Buffy the vampire slayer. That show was a great and powerful thing. It has a cult following for new generations that will love the slayer.

Either bring in an editor like Lisa Lassik to work from the original film negatives or just upscale from the master tapes on video. Provided there's no excess of DNR, it can be done and done well.

PLEASE do NOT use the excremental widescreen masters. Buffy was shot in 4:3 and that framing is the one I want to save for posterity, not some "creative" halfwit's attempt to "improve" something that needs no fixing.
