Make Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Blu-Ray

Those lucky Charmed fans are a bunch of lucky bastards!!! They managed to get a Blu-ray before we got Buffy on Blu-ray. Let's face it Fox is Fox. As much as I would love too own Buffy on Blu-ray, it saddens me this hasn't happened and it's long overdue. I demand Buffy the complete series on Blu-ray!!!!

What is wrong with Buffy having the black bars at the top and bottom of your TV? That's the way how today's shows are. The X-Files and HBO's The Wire were brilliantly re-mastered in 16:9 and The X-Files early seasons were shot full frame, and HBO's The Wire was shot in full frame as well but they managed to get both series in 16:9 widescreen, so why can't Fox learn from what they did with The X-Files and re-frame Buffy in 16:9?

Well, isn't one of the problems with putting Buffy on Blu-ray is that seasons 1 and 2 were shot in 16mm and seasons 3-7 where shot in 35mm. If they would just go back and remaster seasons 1 and 2 such as cleaning the film, avoid cropping, re-digitalizing the computer graphics (such as the vampire dustings), and re-coding the sound, then they will surprise us with the first 2 seasons of Buffy in HD. I think the first 2 seasons of Buffy has a lot of tear into their prints and upgrading the first 2 seasons in HD would be brilliant.

WOW! Fox really has totally disrespected Buffy! This would piss off Buffy fans if they decided to remaster Angel on Blu-ray. First off all, I think Angel season 1 was filmed in 4:3 and season 2-5 was filmed in 16:9. I could be wrong about Angel season 1's ratio 1though. So I can get that Angel fans would probably see a Blu-ray before Buffy. I am surprised that no fan out there has started an Angel Blu-ray petition. Fox did a brilliant and amazing job with The X-Files on Blu-ray, and they made an effort with The X-Files on Blu-ray. Now Fox, show Buffy some effort, loving, care, attention and respect the series truly deserves.

Damn. You know Fox could have done a Blu-ray release last year when the show celebrated it's big anniversary last year. I'm still disappointed we have not seen a Blu-ray release yet. Fox totally disrespected Buffy, since Fox didn't come through maybe Disney will show Buffy a lot more respect and care for a Blu-ray upgrade.

Ok, so HBO did a brilliant job remastering The Wire on Blu-ray they managed to transfer the series in 16:9 widescreen. Even though it was originally in 4:3, it was never intended to be in 16:9 widescreen, still HBO managed to release the series in 16:9 widescreen for Blu-ray. HBO did an amazing job with The Wire on Blu-ray and they made an effort. Fox please put a lot of care and effort for Buffy on Blu-ray HD.

Who else is tired of waiting?!?!?

Being a huge fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, having it on Blu-ray in HD would be an absolutely brilliant addition to my collection. I am unsure, however, about people being so negative about it being released in 16:9 widescreen. It's becoming the norm these days for TV shows being released in 16:9 widescreen. The Complete Series of The X-Files was released on Blu-ray in 16:9 widescreen (with no cropping) considering Seasons 1-4 were filmed in 4:3 fullscreen. Fox should give BTVS the same care and attention that it gave The X-Files.

I find it a bunch of crock that Charmed got a Blu-ray release before Buffy, Buffy is way better than Charmed. Buffy has action, drama, humor, horror, and fantasy. Where Charmed is just a bunch of little girls trying to learn their mojo! Willow will always be the strongest witch out of all the Charmed ones! Fox/Disney needs too show Buffy more respect and remaster this on Blu-ray. Chop, Chop let's go Fox/Disney!!!!

Ok, this is really pissing me off! Charmed season 1 is now released on Blu-ray. Where oh where is Buffy on Blu-ray? Buffy should have gotten a Blu-ray release by now. Take a hint Fox/Disney. We are dedicated fans of Buffy and we would love too see this show on Blu-ray, Let's get too it people over at Fox/Disney!!!

If they indeed put Buffy in 16:9 on Blu-ray it would be nothing but horror! You would see mics the camera crew and the production team in the background! There are shows out there on Blu-ray that maintained their 4:3 ratio on Blu-ray. Show Buffy respect and leave it at 4:3. I will not buy this on Blu-ray if they have it in it's terrible 16:9!

Buffy should be remastered in it's original 4:3 on Blu-ray, to be close as the original as possible, colors, brightness, (avoid cropping if possible.) The special effects should to be re-done. It's such an amazing show that they need to put proper care and a lot of effort into it! They also should approach Angel with the same care/effort as well in the future.

They really need to fast track Buffy and get it out on Blu-ray.

What sucks about all this is that they missed an opportunity too do a 20th Blu-ray Buffy collection in 2017. How much longer do we have to wait until the series celebrates it's 25th anniversary in 2027 release which is 9 years away? This is not cool Fox/Disney Let's get to it people.

They need to hurry up and get this out on Blu-ray before everyone ends up in the retirement home, because they sure are taking their precious time releasing Buffy on Blu-ray. Please hurry and release it already!

Too bad shout! Factory can't release this onto Blu-ray, they always put time, money and care into there merchandise.

They would be complete and I do mean complete idiots if they don't release Buffy on Blu-ray, they respected all these other shows that are getting the Blu-ray treatment, shows that don't even need a Blu-ray release. But still Buffy deserves better and respect we live in a crappy world.

If this happens I would buy this in a heartbeat!!! Buffy on Blu-ray will be a must have on Blu-ray and I would buy 2 copies of the Blu-ray set for support.
