Too be honest I don't really care anymore if Buffy ever gets remastered onto Blu-ray anymore, let's face it Fox is dead and they screwed up with the HD remaster, and it's all up to the Mouse now for Buffy ever making it's way onto Blu-ray, so should I dig a hole in my backyard and bury my Buffy DVD box sets in a treasure chest?

This classic series is long overdue for a Blu-ray release it's passed it's 20th anniversary, and Fox already have classic series on Blu-ray like Firefly, The X-Files, Dollhouse just to name a few. Let's hope Disney will add Buffy on Blu-ray to their list.

I don't mind the show being in 16:9 but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. CBS/Paramount even gave Charmed the 16:9 treatment on Blu-ray, and that show on the old DVD's was in 4:3 if I am not mistaking (I'll have to unpack my old DVD's just too take a look.) However I do like Buffy in 16:9 they did brighten up the show sometimes it's very hard too see the original version on dvd and I have too brighten up my 4k TV just too see the picture. I just hope if they do a 16:9 they digitally remove the production team on the sides , they did a good job with The X-Files and also HBO did an amazing job with The Wire on Blu-ray another 4:3 show that was remastered in 16:9 but they digitally removed the production crew on the sides so I have too give HBO credit. Let's all hope that Disney will remaster this 90's classic on Blu-ray.

There are many mistakes in the HD version of BTVS. I do like that it is in 16:9 aspect ratio and that it is HD because in the original some scenes were a bit hard to see so the HD version helps. I would LOVE to see the new remaster done properly.

Buffy is not meant too be 16:9 widescreen. Keep it at it's original ratio 4:3 full-frame presentation. Fans will not pay for a trashy 16:9 widescreen.

Definitely keep the 4:3. I love this show and know my DVD's aren't going to last forever.

Once More With Feeling. Buffy and it's fans are hurting, we deserve so much better and a better remaster to one of the greatest TV shows of our generation and into the next generation and please stick with the original material.

Why can't they just do a 16:9 and digitally remove the production team from the sides? that's how they did it with HBO's The Wire.

I'd say "No" to the Buffy Reboot. Even if it gets off the floor. The Original Buffy is the best with the best cast their is. Rebooting Buffy will only cause more trouble for the fans and for Buffy on Blu-ray if that ever gets off the floor as well.

They really need to remaster this in its original 4:3 ratio for Blu-ray. The HD 16:9 is awful, Disney save Buffy the Vampire Slayer Blu-ray, Remaster 4:3 ratio. The 16:9 ratio is not my Buffy!!!

This needs a total 4:3 HD remaster for Blu-ray.

Well, I am so glad that they didn't give Xena: Warrior Princess (my other favorite show) in HD that probably would be horror! Buffy needs too have a proper 4:3 HD remaster!!!

Who else is starting to loose faith in this ever being put out to Blu-ray?

You know it sucks being a Buffy fan, because we as fans are dedicated too this beloved series. It's we the fans who put Buffy the Vampire Slayer on the ratings chart when it originally aired! Don't they know that Buffy the Vampire Slayer even ranked at #2 for TV's greatest heroes of all time? We the fans are working hard too get the Studio's attention too bring this cult classic series remastered in it's original version on Blu-ray and not that crappy so called "HD."
