Last sunday my son was in the park with friends when his frisbie went over the hedge and across Bencoolen road, where him and his friends went to retrieve it, on the way back across to go back into the park he walked across the road into a car, luckily he escaped with a broken toe and a small bruise on hip, we were fortunate that the driver had stuck to the speed limit of 20 mph, but I have seen cars going faster along this road many times, I dread to think what could of happened if the car was going any faster like other cars have been. The signs need to be bigger and clearer! there is a park right next to this road. I also believe that if there was some kind of crossing such as a zebra crossing or pelican crossing was placed right outside the park it would give children a safer place to cross! particularly older children who are crossing alone, this road is hard enough to cross for me at times let alone a child or a teenager. please help out and sign my petition, thankyou in advance.
