I just watched Beautiful Creatures. I would love to see a sequel to this movie. It's a higher quality YA adaptation than many in recent years and the leads were both empowered, charming and engaging.

As a lover of books and movies, I was very disappointed when I heard that there was going to be no Beautiful Darkness. The first movie was amazing in my opinion. For all the people out there that think that the movies need to be a play by play of the book, you're very wrong. All of those who read the books experienced something amazing because of their own imaginations and no other person can reach into everyone's imagination and please everyone. People need to look at the movie as something separate that we've read a sort of outline to. I believe there wasn't enough advertisement about the movie. I'm a huge fan of the books and barely found out about the movie a few weeks before it actually came out. I think the world is ready for and deserves the second installment of the series. With that being said, I will be patiently waiting for Beautiful Darkness to be made into a movie and I will be excited to see what happens with the movie based on the ending of the second book and with parts of the book influencing it, of course. I think it would be unfair to give us a glimpse into this amazing film series and then take it away. The actors did an amazing job and I feel will only get better. All that being said, I really do hope this series keeps being adapted to film.

I didn't think the movie was bad, but I didn't think it did the book justice. I still believe it deserves a sequel.
