Breast milk is the perfect food for all the dietary and nutritional needs of infants for the first six months of life– no manufactured product can be compared with it. It also offers all the antibodies an infant needs to ward off dangerous and life threatening diseases. However, in Pakistan only 40% of mothers practice early initiation of breastfeeding within one hour of birth and only 38 % of mothers

The importance of breast feeding (MAAN KA DHOODH) also clearly mentioned in the Verses # 233 of Para 2 of the Holy Quran i..e a mother should feed her child to at least 02 years.

Breastfeeding is very clearly encouraged in the Qur'an: "Mothers shall breastfeed their children for two whole years, for those who wish to complete the term" (2:233).
