Make Aggravated Animal Cruelty a Class Five Felony

Personally I would like to see an "eye foe an eye" but I will settle for class 5 felony.

Animal abuse should never be tolerated! Anyone convicted of animal abuse needs to serve more than 18 months in prison. It's sad that life seems to mean so little to abusers and govt.

Now you know what evil looks like!

Make Aggravated Animal Cruelty a Class Five Felon

People that hurt or kill animals should go to prison for the rest of their lives. These instances are just a precursor to harming humans or more animals and should not be treated as lightly as they are now.

Animals ask for so lilttle, and offer so much to us. This is the least thinking and caring people can do.

People who will torture and kill innocent animals will do the same to humans.

New York did it, let's all do it!

animal cruelty should be held to the same legal punishment as crimes against humans!! animals have souls and feel pain just as humans do!!

why should animal murder and creulty be treated any differently than human murder and creulty these disturbed individuals need the max sentence and a disgnosis from a phsyciatrist as well as a therapist

As a psychologist said, "McGettigan said when someone commits an act of animal cruelty, it's usually not an isolated incident. "They are not satisfied with one awful crime. The euphoria that they gain from committing one awful crime makes them want to return and commit additional crimes in the future just like a drug addict," A slap on the hand won't work anymore. Voteing for Class 4 felony but will take the Five.

Please please make this a class 5 felony! People need to realize harsher punishment for a crime like this. Awful, unnecessary abuse of domesticated pet.
