Drivers frequently exceed the speed limit on this road and the speed limits are nonsensical. I will never forget the fatality my husband attended on this road over 30 years ago - make our children and everyone safe -let's do it NOW!!

It is unbelievable that there is no safe crossing on a busy road for children to get to school especially as everyone is encouraged to walk rather than drive.

Sadly drivers often exceed the speed limit along the A275, putting all pedestrians, but especially children at risk. A safe crossing, and enforcement of the speed limit would be a step in the right direction.

I support this petition. The roads in chailey north and south are too fast. Too many motorists are speeding. The speed limit by the primary school should be reduced to 30 miles an hour.

A safe crossing place is essential on this busy, commuter route, road. Scores of children need to cross this road for school every weekday.
I have seen several near misses in the mornings and last week a school girl was injured in a road traffic accident on the A275.

This is a difficult road to cross due to the long bend, the busy junction and the relatively high speed (40mph) of traffic. As well as providing a safe place to cross, traffic lights would have a calming effect on the traffic.
