The introduction of the crossing should also be combined with a reduction in the speed limit on this section of the road to 30mph from the current 40mph.

It seems common sense that children should be able to cross a busy main road safely to get to and from the main public bus stop serving the school.

Cars regularly speeding and taking no consideration of pedestrain usage and crossings at all points between Markstakes lane to the Swan Inn. Needs speed control and a safe crossing urgently. Reduction of the national speed limit from Chailey Green would reduce the risk of excessive speed entering south Chailey too.

Also as a regular horse rider along this road, I think that the speed limit really needs looking at. Cars fly way too fast along this road and ignore requests/signals to slow down. So many times I have seen near accidents, it's only a matter of time until someone is seriously hurt.
