This is appuling. The fact that they choose to leave it till last minute is just an evil plan of attach to try and demolish the community. They have prepared themselves for the upcoming weekend (maitreya festival) for months and now all money spent on restocking shelves would not make a profit sending these businesses bank rupt. Instead of brining down the loacls support them or nigotiate. It wasn't created for nothing.

Maitreya 2015 was the best festival I attend to for the last 12 years ! Maitreya 2016 can only be better !! bureaucracy has to stop suffocating communities !!!

Not many cultural events happen in this area of australia... This is a very peace full and fun event enjoyed by thousands that adds slit to the block economy. Let's not Australia become a nanny country.. We have culture let's build on it

This can't happen, Maiytreya needs to go on! The local town has put in so much time effort and money into supporting this musical festival. So many people will be disappointed

The show must go on! the work the maitreya crew are doing with the community and the donations they have put forth in order to maintain the water levels at woonoorook, should be well enough reason to try and work around the issue rather than shut it down entirely... Not even mentioning the revenue maitreya is generating for the local community... Maitreyans have always been respectful and understanding of our host town and should be given the opportunity to redeem ourselves after a small technical mishap. Good luck crew! Show them what we're all about!

I am too gutted to even make a comment worst from last year was the best festival of my life; and I've been going to festivals for 20 years.
