Excellent opportunity for Charlton to expand its horizons and reap the benefits. Tolerance, learning and understanding can only be beneficial to the great community of Charlton.

Maitreya increased the profit in all stores in 2015 , this year they are expecting to have increase in numbers , which means increase in profit . The town could really benifit from maitreya 2015. A simple weekend ,could help many businesses.

As a local community member I'd love to see this even happen every year long term. It generates income into our town plus surrounding ones, community groups raise much needed funds for the year. We are all doing it hard here especially now in drought so locals can't afford to spend alot in the town but with so many people in one weekend it all helps. I know some of the permits etc may not have been all up to scratch for event but surely shire could help make this happen before the weekend and next year it will be done by the organisers without any hiccups along the way. So please shire let it go ahead

I would absolutely love to see Maitreya back at Wooroonook this year and in future years. It is a brilliant Festival! I think it will be incredibly disappointing for Charltonians and our economy if our Shire doesn't permit this to happen. However, Lachlan, ..have you ever heard of the 6 P's????....Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance....Seriously, you need to hire an employee to negotiate with the bureaucrats....

A lot of towns would jump at the chance to have events such as this.

Small towns struggle to survive. Any money from out of town helps not just the local businesses to survive, but has a flow on effect to local clubs. This has to go ahead, as it doesn't just benefit Charlton, but also the surrounding towns as not all visitors will travel through Charlton to get to the event!!!
