Rural lifestyle festivals such as Maitreya are an important and necessary event that welcomes everyone to express themselves in a way that fulfils their souls without the restraints societal constructs

Music festivals like Matreiya are not only a much needed creative outlet for generations y through x to even baby boomers they also bring financial incentives to the local community in the form of tourism, hospitality. There has been some bad press however when you hold this side by side with say the drunken debacle which is the Melbourne Cup the glaring overeaction is obvious. Please don't let this beautiful thing dissapear in a straight jacket of red tape.

stability in planning creates better lives for members of the organisations involved in the eventry. there is always two sides to a story though and I hope the applicants are acting ethically and fairly with the backing of the Bell Group PEACE LOVE AND RAINBOWS GUYS X

We will not VOTE you in, you are destroying a town for your job! If this was about money and growth you would allow. This is about supporting Agenda 21, granny state.

These festivals are about a musical and art filled multicultural experience that people travel All around the world for. It brings us all together, exluding the ones who take it too far and go there for all the wrong reasons. I understand health and safety, but the actions of some shouldnt jeopardise such an amazing event for the community and committed festival goers. SAVE our souls and don't take such a beautiful thing away from us that again, brings us all together!

It would be crazy for the council to do this, Maitreya has always had a positive impact on the communities in which it was held. Considering last years event was held in the same location and was deemed a success, I don't understand why the council would decide to reject the permits submitted. Cant they see the organisers make a massive effort to contribute to the local community? Can't they see the benefits of having so many people come through their town, spending money and stimulating the local economy. I just hope the council realises that they are not acting on public opinion.

Please allow Maitreya Festival - an important cultural event for many reasons - to take place in 2016 at Lake Wooroonook. I believe the benefit to the local community is significant, and specifically make a point of using local shops and services when attending, as I'm sure do many other attendees.
