Maintain Tosa Connected for the 2020/21 School Year

It boggles the mind when anyone references “Active Covid Cases” as the only metric for potential infection within a school. Given the up to 14 day latency of this virus and a vast majority of those infected show no symptoms whatsoever, anyone believing children in close quarters can’t spread the virus throughout our community is misguided to the extreme.

Please continue Tosa Connected- it is a very important connection to students and their schools-

Staying safe at home is more critical now than in September. Please continue this program for at least the next quarter

Our household is vulnerable. We cannot risk in-school exposure. Please invest in making Tosa Connected as effective as possible.

Let's keep something that is working.

Our family is happy with the Tosa Connected program and love that it keeps us connected to the school while keeping ourselves and others safer at home. Please continue to keep this program going.

Please support our children’s education and continue Tosa Connected. We are able to learn safely distanced, while still interacting with our great district teacher and classmates! With a rise in community cases, please recognize the benefit of having our families continue learning from home this format to maintain a lower phased-into-learning classroom density.

TC is working well for our family and keeps us safe. Even with TC, the number of cases and quarainting for Phase into Learning students and staff is slowly rising. They hybrid + TC model is working as well as anything can this year. Making major changes to either model will only lessen everyone's experience. Teachers I've spoken with in other districts who have to balance teaching in-person and virtual simultaneously are simply exhausted. It's not fair to students or staff, and it would not be sustainable.

We want to continue having the option to do Tosa Connected until the end of the school year. We value the neighborhood Wauwatosa Schools and we hope our son can continue to be directly part of our wonderful Washington Elementary family, whether virtual or in person.

You must continue to care for the needs of all Tosa families.

Please continue these phases for learning.....families need to feel safe

Please maintain Tosa Connected with dedicated teachers to enable our children to have the same high level education that phased in has. Our children have already lost 3 of the 5 days of synchronous learning that’s was promised. They are finally starting to form relationships with their teachers which is obviously harder to do online. Changing this structure now will greatly impact their already truncated learning this year.

Although we are in Wauwatosa Virtual Academy, we would like to switch to Tosa Connected because we miss being a part of the Wauwatosa community. I have Type 1 diabetes and I chose virtual to lessen the risk of exposure to me and my children. Taking away Tosa Connected takes away any chance we have to connect to the community. We will be stuck in depressing Wauwatosa Virtual and shut off even more from the community we are struggling to connect with.

Please keep this going!

Maintaining all three learning types for the whole school year will benefit all students, parents, and grandparents.

We need this option to ensure our family’s health & safety.

Maintaining small class sizes is the only way to keep our schools and teachers safe!!! But having Tosa Connected students watching the “live” feed on a camera is grossly unfair and not appropriate learning. Please maintain a dedicated teacher for synchronous instruction, especially this winter when we expect the worst of this pandemic!!! We are a phase into learning family now but expect to opt for Tosa connected over this difficult winter season. Holidays and indoor activities are going to result in exposures. This is not the time to reduce our virtual learning environment.
