LEAVE IT ALONE. Those people complaining have nothing better to do. It is just a piece of stone and it isnt hurting a soul.
Why don’t people learn the real meaning of this? The war was fought over taxes not slavery, why is this town cowering down?
It's amazing to me that the statue has stood in its place since 1906 and now it's offensive? It's part of history. Leave it be!
Keep the statue. It is history and was there during the 1970’s marches around the courthouse.
I think taking the Confederate Monuments down has gotten out of hand. This is part of our History and I don't think it's fair taking them down just because some people don't like them because they think it's about SLAVERY..... The Civil War wasn't all about SLAVERY.... Maybe it's time we started taking down OBAMA STATUES AND OTHERS BECAUSE OBAMA IS A TRAITOR AND A TERRORIST.

This statue has been there over 100 years. My grandfather used to sit by it back in the day and nobody ever had a problem with it until now. Stop trying to erase everything.
