It is very important that psychologists maintain their own board due to differing ethical and professional requirements for training and practice relative to the other groups (predominantly Master's level) who are being consolidated

If this passes, then other terminal degree professionals are at risk of being ruled by master's level providers. STOP this now!!!!

I oppose HB1501. TSBEP should retain its own board and remain independent of the consolidated agency.

I am opposed to item 4 of the Sunset Advisory Commission staff report. Please remove the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists from the proposed licensing board consolidation in Senate Bill 611.

I oppose the consolidation of TSBEP with master's level boards. TSPBEP will function better as separate and independent board.

Please remove TSBEP from the proposed licensing board consolidation in Senate Bill 611. This consolidated model has failed in other states. It will disrupt the current efficiency of TSBEP, add expense to psychologists and ultimately our clients.

HB 1501 is a terrible idea and serves no benefit to the public or the profession of psychology. I stand against the consolidation of TSBEP with masters level practicioners as proposed by the sunset committee.

"I am opposed to item 4 of the Sunset Advisory Commission staff report. We urge the Sunset Advisory Commission to remove the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP) from the proposed licensing board consolidation in [Senate Bill 611]. TSBEP is currently a well-run agency. In consolidating the board into BHEC, psychologists will no longer have authority to regulate the field of psychology, the cost for licensing is expected to increase, the timeline for licensing and resolution of board complaints is estimated to increase up to five years, and no long-term savings can be estimated."

Please do not include the TSBEP in the proposed consolidated liscensing agency. Psychologists should monitor psychologists with commensurate privileges and doctoral level training. Thank you.

I am writing in support of keeping the Texas Board of Examiners for Psychologists a separate entity and to NOT consolidate this board with the Behavioral Health Executive Committee. Thank you.

I strongly oppose HB 1501. TSBEP should not be consolidated into the BHEC. Psychologists have the right to our own independent licensing board.
