Would love to see the Basketball goal stay!! The kids in the neighborhood enjoy it and it helps bring the neighbors together here in Shannon Creek.

The removal of this goal is completely unnecessary and a misapplication of law by the city. Since we are provided nothing in the way of parks in our corridor, this goal does more for our community than our tax dollars. The kids love it and the owner has used it to strengthen bonds throughout our neighborhood. The right thing to do would be to grant some form of exemption and work with us on this issue rather than continuing down the current path. Do the right thing.

With all due respect, the city has much bigger issues to tend to in our corridor. This basketball goal serves our community, at the invitation of the owner. It represents more effort than we have received from our city despite a tax rate that rivals any in DFW. The goal is elite level in quality and installation. It is not consistent with the eye sores Code Enforcement and HOA's work to mitigate. An exemption should be granted to the owner and for this community. This is a nonsensical application of law. Do the right thing and listen to the people who pay to run this city.

We need a place for the kids and adult in our neighborhood to be able play and have fun. By keeping the basketball hoop in our neighborhood it gives our kids a safe environment for them to play with their friends. #savethehoop

Please leave this goal up in the neighborhood. It serves a very positive purpose for the youth of the neighborhood.

The kids need this. It is not in the street, and is doing no harm. Let the kids have outdoor activities.
