This facility needs to stay open for all of the local children. Alnwick Harriers is a fantastic club which both of my children attend twice per week.

This is a vital community assist that should remain, the new houses will need these facilities too.

These are important facilities and should not be removed without suitable alternatives.

surely some alternative arrangements should have been made before withdrawing these facilities. Is this part of the 2012 Olympic legacy

Willowburn is too small a facility for cricket. If Lindisfarne is shut down, the nearest centre is Ashington, which is too far to expect junior players to attend on a regular basis, particularly during the winter months.

No consultation with residents means no other alternative sites have been put forward. Vital that we keep these facilities.

I do not think these facilities should be demolished until a suitable site be found for the youngsters to carry on practicing their sport.

The sports and leisure facilities in attic are already in adequate for the population and the demands. Taking away the sports hall facilities at Lindisfarne school will only make the situation worse. If the facilities are to be Demolished then at replacement must be built.

If this happens it is a complete disgrace and the people responsible should be ashamed of themselves.

Lindisfarne sports Centre plays a major roll in providing facilities to a large number of sports clubs in the area. It would be a major blow to the community if it were to close, as the Duchess Community High School Gym is not opon to the community!!!

This proposal is completely contrary to the Alnwick and Denwick Neighbourhood Plan which in its community facilities section seeks to see the adult education facilities at Lindisfarne in particular retained and at the very least there should have been extensive community consultation about this. What price local democracy. The County is yet again riding rough shod over community proposals in the neighbourhood plan.

The loss of the facilities and demolition of this school has been rushed through by the Council with no consultation

As the cost of sports is rapidly rising it is important for local facilities like Lindisfarne Sports hall remains open so everyone has a chance to enjoy a range of sports. Additionally, taking away facilities which would help alleviate the obesety problem in this country and replacing them with houses is not very forward thinking or constructive.
