MAINSTREAM SCHOOLING IS FAILING OUR AUTISTIC CHILDRENS EDUCATION RIGHTS

My son is very intellectual although easily distracted if there was more staff to offer extra support this would improve his learning. He struggles with communication and social interaction and just appears to sit on the sidelines when it is something that doesn't interest him. There should be staff support for these times also.

Sooner this gets fixed the better only people suffering are our poor kids you should be ashamed of yourselfs !!!

Mainstream schools do not have, the resources, training, expertise to accommodate ASD children. To use ASD children's education as a cost cutting exercise is diabolical.

I'm signing this on behalf of my son as he is being failed on so many levels within mainstream education x

I'm signing this as my son was failed in a mainstream school and was behind as they couldn't deal with he was failed right until p3 this needs to be addressed and dealt with

Forced mainstreaming doesn't work for anyone! Not kids with additional needs or ordinary kids.

This must be addressed comprehensively, not just in words, but in actions!

I have watched my grandaughter suffer by being mis-placed in a mainstream school, something must be done and soon before a child is physically harmed. The psychological damage is already going on, it has to be addressed.

Having just about finished an Education Support Assistiant qualification that I financed on my own to help support children through mainstream school I am very reluctant to apply for any jobs if any come up because of what I have seen or heard of happening with autistic children in mainstream education. I strongly agree that this is not the correct learning environment for such children. I 100% agree with everything said in this petition.
