Plants, especially those with medicinal value should be available to all for use. We need to make opportunities for people to make better choices in their health and supporting marijuana is definitely a positive step in the right direction!

I join thousands across Maine in support of this statement of values to guide the expansion and development of the cannabis program in Maine, which was founded on the core value of compassion for Maine people.

I fully support the core values stated here and urge Maine's lawmakers and officials to make sure that the state of Maine is known (in a good way!) for its protection of its people, small businesses, and environment. Our voices have been heard to make Cannabis legal in this state, so provide the least amount of restrictions that will insure appropriate safety measures and help the community thrive for years to come. Thank you!

It's high time (pun intended) that Portland completes the process that Maine citizens voted for in 2016. Initially, I was under the impression that the state/cities/towns would take about a year to come up with appropriate rules and regulations surrounding the legal sale/use of marijuana. Local people and business have counted on local leadership to complete this process. It's time that the local government stops dragging their feet and listens to the people.

I firmly stand behind the ideas in this petition. I do not support the current propsed regulations, first and foremost they are not in favor of small business or of keeping the founding Maine businesses the chance to be at the forefront of the emerging market. As written a tier 1 will never be able to be competitive to a max tier. Aside from the sq ft or per plant fees, all of the other expenses for growers are identical. Allowing towns to opt out and delay lawmaking will possibly cause quite a hindering on many small business as lobbyist already have been pressuring the larger cities. Also I want to express concern of what the plans for revenue will be? We can not allow it to go into the general fund and be washed away. Homeless, addiction, education and infrastructure are a few priorities in my opinion.

I support this petition and the values stated. We are in the midst of bringing this industry out of the shadows and we must make sure it benefits the people of Maine above all else. Without fear and stigmatization. Thank you
