The Memorial Art Gallery has officially rescinded the commission for the upcoming centennial project. I am grateful for your steadfast insistence that this institution reflect our community values in its public choices. We shall continue to monitor their future programming to ensure these standards remain upheld.

This is total garbage. Can we please stop giving these people platforms? Shame on the gallery.
CANCEL IT. I wont be renewing my family pass if they go through with this. Absolutely sick.
wow i had no idea he did that. definitely not supporting this exhibit. rochester deserves better.
Seriously? There are so many talented local artists who actually deserve the spotlight instead of this guy.
Disgusting. I grew up going to the MAG but this is a bridge too far. How do you honor someone like that?

Agreed. I need to renew my membership to our wonderful MAG....AFTER I hear of the reversed decision. It would pain me more to allow Otterness' artwork installed in our city than it does to sadly avoid our beloved MAG. And, that is saying a lot.
