You all are probably wondering who Madison is. Madison is my best friend's newborn cousin. Madison was born to a mother who has a high addiction to pain killers, drugs, and alcohol. Madison's father is the exact same way. While giving birth to Madison, her biological mother was snorting cocaine and almost over dosing on heroin. Right now, Madison is being taken care of by her Grandmother and Grandfather in West Virginia. I am writing this petition to the state government of West Virginia to make "Madison's Law". Madison's Law would be to give the closest relative custody of the child before taking them into State custody and placing them with foster parents.
