I opposed the bill and spoke and voted against it to give slaughterhouse developer another unfair bite at the apple. Rep. Dunwell, Helena/East Helena

I chose Montana almost 30 years ago for its clean water, soil and authenticity in food production. Having been around CAFOs and other egregious meat processing operations, I assure you, we do not need the disastrous Madison Food Pork Slaughterhouse. Our water and land is too valuable to muck it up with this kind of irresponsible project.

Factory farming goes against our heritage and our values in Montana. The impact of this project would be devastating to farmers who have been here for generations and to all Montanans who treasure this as the last best place.

This is a gross misuse of Montana's water.

EIS regarding feedlots is critical to assuring water quality for future generations health and well being. Consider this and all future generations and their ability to not only survive but enjoy our waters

An Environmental Impact Assessment should be required and carefully examined. The continuous and long term consequences of an industrial slaughterhouse will over throw the short economic benefit to the community and the state.

The ecologic and social implications of this plan are far more important than the small economic gains. Please put the health and safety of Montanans ahead of profits, for once! Great Falls, and all communities downstream on the Missouri deserve better than this. Greeley, CO is a city whose economy is based on slaughter houses; take a close look there and decide if that is truly what is best gor Montana!

NOT in favor of this damnable atrocity anywhere near Great Falls.

Although I no longer live in Great Falls, most of my family members do and it will always be my home. This slaughterhouse project MUST be carefully studied before being allowed to move forward. Anything less would show a wanton lack of care for the people and land of the Great Falls area.

Maybe you guys should listen to the citizens for once and stop the slaughterhouse.

Large scale animal processing contributes to global warming far more than smaller, local butchering. This is a move contrary to the change in society's dietary habits.

We need more support for local small slaughter houses . Not these big monstrosities that Destroy our natural resources.

The MEP Slaughter House will not improve the quality of life in Great Falls and the surrounding area, but will, instead, strain the services.
