This MFP proposal should be evaluated for for its considerable impacts prior to receiving any commitments.

As a citizen of the great state of Montana I am opposing this project from happening anywhere in the state. Even the thought of it is making typing difficult. A corporate, industrial slaughterhouse is the last thing this state needs. The water and land of this beautiful state will suffer greatly if this is somehow allowed to move forward.

I oppose this project, it will have major negative impacts to the area. a project of this size needs an EIS that will focus on the cumulative impacts

This is not the kind of development Montana needs. We need smaller-scale and projects that do not have a terrible negative environmental impact.

It’s a major polluter. Shut it down or relocate to Bozeman.

I support a thorough and accurate EIS, but I can say now that I do not think this operation serves the best interests of Montana/ns. Job creation alone is not enough. This plant will create too many harmful impacts. Let's have the courage to say No.

Please don’t allow an industrial slaughterhouse into our state. There are much more humane and environmentally conscious ways to raise animals that don’t threaten humanity or our planet. It would be unconscionable to approve such a dirty business. Furthermore, this type of practice is likely to lead to our next pandemic of a dangerous swine flu. Don’t allow the greed of a few people poison our world and lead us closer to collapse and extinction. Please do the right thing. Thank you.

Please do not build this slaughterhouse in MT. I am horrified at the thought.

I strongly oppose the Madison Food Park (MFP) Slaughterhouse proposed to be built in the Great Falls area. Such facilities would produce degradation to the community and environment damage beyond estimation. Animal agriculture is one of the chief causes of global warming, pollution, water consumption and degradation. This facility would be upstream in the Missouri River, Great Falls' drinking water source, about 8 miles southeast of Great Falls. It would lead to environmental pollution, decreases in property values, increased crime and many other adverse social impacts. This facility would use 3.5 millions of water daily from the local aquifer. This is at a time of increased climate warming and drought conditions. This is the exact opposite direction we should be heading if there is any hope to avoid irreversible climate catastrophe in the future. This is Ed Friesen, a Canadian company whose intent is to make huge profits while seriously impacting Montana.

Governor Bullock, please support the city of Great Falls in its effort to obtain a careful and thorough impact study.

Hi Governor Bullock, As a Montana resident, I'm concerned about the Madison Food Park Slaughterhouse that is being proposed for outside of Great Falls. Agriculture and ranching are not only a job source for Montanans, but a way of life. Yes, we need more slaughterhouse and mean processing facilities to help promote a sustainable and resilient regional and local food system here in Montana. But one based on the corporate, industrial food system model is not the answer. It will NOT benefit our local communities or food system, nor does it match with our community values. Please reconsider the proposed Madison Food Park Slaughterhouse.

I am a Montana rancher and I think this sort of slaughterhouse is going to produce far more problems than it will ever solve for Montana.

As a rancher, we have used a variety of slaughterhouses and honestly, this one looks like a huge mistake.

The negative economic and community impact of an industrial slaughterhouse needs to be thoroughly examined in an EIS. I encourage Governor Bullock to support the request of the City of Great Falls to demand such a study before changing the area forever.

Please don’t let big money win. This will destroy the quality life Of the communities of Great Falls, Belt and Stockett. Please do the right thing for our families and friends.

The negative impact of a slaughterhouse near Great Falls will be far reaching into every aspect of the community. Please, please, insist on an unbiased study and stop this travesty before it goes any further.

This project is not good for Great Falls. We don't need numerous low paying, high turnover jobs to start with and the list of problems is enormous.
