As a National Board certified public school teacher in Madison with 20 years experience , and a parent of a child who will attend Madison Schools, this is NOT what I want for my school or my family. I am disgusted but it surprised at the emotional politics being played with teacher pay raises being tied to school choice—which has ZERO track record of success. We have moved the needle so far with reading and math gains. Please don’t set us back. Please do what you were elected to do—-vote for according to ALL your constituents!! I am watching my legislators closely and will vote and campaign accordingly. It is time for our elected leaders to do what is right and stop playing political game with our children’s future.
