If there is proof of her turning in assignments, and going to the counselor, not sure how that is fair to expel.

Kids have a hard enough time dealing with their own problems. They definitely shouldn't have their problems multiplied by someone who is supposed to support and guide them. If there's evidence of wrongdoing on behalf of the teacher (towards her or any other student) then this issue needs to be dealt with, not brushed aside.

Sounds like the system has failed this student by over reacting. It's a shame for the administration to turn on a lifelong district student over a single incident like this.

Denying a student the opportunity to have an education due to this comment on social media is totally unreasonable and in fact is quite concerning. Especially if the student was having issues with the teacher and made attempts to bring attention to the situation after other school officials failed to find a reasonable resolution. What more can someone do when the adults would not acknowledge what this person was dealing with but make the public aware of her concern so that others who may be having the same experience with this teacher have a voice. In my opinion, the school officials not taking action to remedy this for the student and denying her an education is a discrace.

I think adults who bully kids are disgusting. This teacher should be fired.

This punishment is far too extreme given that there is a clearly documented issue with this teacher.

I pray that this horrible act can be turned around for this student.. And that this teacher gets reprimanded ... And that this gets resolved .... This teacher is bullying certain students n making them feel less of themselves...

I’m sure this same treatment wouldn’t have been given to the captain of the football team.

I myself dealt with a horrible teacher in high school
Never got expelled. If this is true her parents need to hire an attorney. Time for the school district to dig deep for some truths. They should never protect a bad teacher. Especially at the expense of a student. Especially a good student because there are to many bad ones now days. Good luck.

Very wrong of the school district. That is cruel and unusual punishment. That will stay with a person the rest of their life. Way way to harsh a penalty considering her expression of her constitutionally protected right to free speech. Especially when the school district will not assume some accountability for failing their obligation to properly assist this student when she came to them asking for help

Kelso sucks! I took my girls out of there and they go to Toledo where they excel and not a 1/8 of the stupidity and drama and problems we had at kelso with kids and teachers alike! Teachers have to be fair and so does the punishment...#f*@*ing get real Kelso schools!

This is simply wrong.
Fix it
Give fair punishment.
