Mad Cow Theatre delinquent payments

I too have experienced Mad Cow's proclivity for delinquent payment. The only time I received payment on time was for "Guys & Dolls" and that was simply because the Orlando Philharmonic was involved. The time has come for Mad Cow to get it together and pay their actors their due.

While my paychecks were on time because of my equity status, I cannot stand by the wayside and watch fellow artists be taken advantage of. We live in an area full of untapped potential. With the right people a true professional theatre could be formed. "Professional - (adjective) person engaged in a specified activity as one's main PAID occupation rather than as a pastime. (Noun) a person engaged or qualified in a profession. By these definitions Mad Cow should remove the word "professional" from any/all sections of advertising until they can "play the part" of a professional. Non-equity does not mean lack of talent, unprofessional, unqualified, or without need of a paycheck. It is time to set a standard for the "professional" theatre so many of us have called home at some point. Without artists a theatre is just another empty building waiting for a new owner. Tread carefully.

I did one show and 3 cabarets for them. I was never paid on time, and did not received any payment until I threatened them with legal action. This is unacceptable. They need to clean house from the top down if they want to remain in business in Orlando. Otherwise, I strongly advise against anyone working for them or supporting them as an audience member,

I am owed payment for many outstanding contracts with Mad Cow Theatre. It would be nice to finally be paid for creativity, design and labor done in good faith.
