The boulder save many people during the pandemic. It should be honoured by being restored to it's former glory.

Boulder 2 is an art piece I have personally interacted with as an artist and avid climber, prior to the destructive landscaping. It is a shame that public works would be done that destroy the function and beauty of a piece of artwork that was designed to uplift the community. Please work to rectify the situation and return the piece it's full impact.
It is a shame that the landscaping has affected the integrity of the work of art, the whole idea of the Boulder being a focal point on the green, is now undermined. All this without consulting the artist, very unprofessional, poor judgment by Hackney planning.

It's a shame that the boulder has been buried so deep, limiting the climbing it can offer to people who visit (especially during these times of lockdown).

Can you please remove the bank of soil from the side of the boulder please? Both the artist and the local community want it back to its original state.

Shame it has been covered in soil where it ruins the whole art aspect.

Just moved to the area, sad to see it has been spoiled before I can even begin to enjoy it!

Such a shame your great work has been spoiled. There are not many public sculptures I like but your whole approach and vision is spot on. Pity Hackney Councils is not. I say return the surrounding landscape to 2008 design. Respect artists and contracts made with them.

You have something amazing and unique in its own right. The sculptor should be the person to make ALL the decisions surrounding, in every sense of the word, any decisions regarding altering the land around it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. What next the smile wiped off Mona Lisas' face? Leave this sculpture alone, the World's a big place, go and do the other stuff somewhere else please. Thank you. Lovely work John.

This is a disgraceful waste of such a wonderful work. The artificial landscaping is both offensive and ridiculous visually, but the very functionality at the core of the work of art has been rendered null, by submerging many of the most chellenging climbing routes.

What is the point of commissioning and installing beautiful and meaningful pieces of art for all to enjoy when their significance and setting is spoilt by mindless maintenance. Talk to the artist and agree how the damage can be remedied. C Gardiner (MARIBA, CAABC)

A shame! Please reverse this landscaping work to bring the boulder back to its former glory, and for the benefit of the ever increasing London climbing community!
