HB-587 is currently pending in the Georgia legislature. The bill seeks to allow the citizens of south Cobb County to vote on incorporating a new city to be known as Mableton. The proposed limits generally are bound by Hurt Road on the north, City of Smyrna on the east, City of Austell / Powder Springs Road on the west and the county lines on the southeast and southwest. I live within the boundaries of the proposed City of Mableton. I respectfully request the legislature allow the citizens to vote on incorporation.
