The situation with trucks on the M7 is dire!
The majority of accidents involve trucks in one way or another. To start off with, heavy vehicles should not be allowed to travel in peak traffic, often travelling at high speed. On a daily basis one see heavy vehicles occuping all three lanes towards Pinetown. Restricting heavy vehicle traffic during peak hours, will ease conjestion and limit the number of accidents accuring. Most trucks speed past the required stop at the Bellvile Road bridge, east towards the M7/N2 interchange. The condition of the left lane both east and west, motivate truck drivers not to use the left lane and as a result the rest of the road is riddled with broken patches and potholes, breaking apart.
Although the speedlimit on the M7 is 100km/h for motorists, speeding is also a major contributing factor for accidents.

Law enforcement must be active and enforce the road law strictly. This will bring an immediate impact to the carnage on the M7.

Trucks on all our roads need to be addressed. Instead of metro police stopping traffic in the neighborhood, why don't they enforce the laws on the roads.

The accidents on the m7 over the years have become more frequent than ever. Too many lives have been lost here. Drastic changes to trucks on this small small highway need to be made
