This area on the M7 has over several year led to the deaths and injuries of numerous people. The main culprit in these accidents are heavy trucks, of which many are not roadworthy or are speeding down the M7. It is time for authorities to seriously deal with this issue. They need to change this intersection to an interchange similar to that at Spaghetti Junction and N2 Springfield and Gateway off ramps. There is also a serious need to slow truck traffic down from Bellville bridge to the N2 (similar to that coming down Townhill in Pietermaritzburg).

The condition of the roads are bad, tar breaking up in numerous areas. Overall maintenance of the overgrowth of weeds are sorely lacking, the yellow and white lines barely visible. Since 2001 when I first traveled on the M7 no significant maintenance has been done to improve it. Everytime I use it, it's an awful experience.
