It's probably too late now, but I think the petition should include the fact that the mother and unborn are distinct individuals with unique DNA, and therefore the unborn is not part of mothers body.

Man does not have the right to take a life that God has created for any reason. I was so grieved when the Governor of New York signed the bill allowing abortion up until the moment of birth and the cheering of the people that he did that. To think that so many states have done the same thing. I didn't realize those other states had done so previously. As a part of a Lutherans for Life group in Waterloo, Iowa since early in the 2000's it is easy to become discouraged and feel Satan's winning the battle for the lives of the unborn. We have done the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil in front of the Planned Parenthood in Cedar Falls in Cedar Falls, Iowa several years now-they are still there, but we will continue until they are there no more. We must pray for them and the women that want to end their pregnancies-with God on the job only good can happen in His time. I thank God that some people decided to start Lutherans for Life and fight for the lives of the unborn.
