I feel it is important for students to have there phones at school for many obvious reasons. Part of the reason parents buy phones for their children is so that they can get ahold of them at school if need be. If there is an emergency for example.

The reason they are making this rule is the concern of phone usage in teens, but if our phone is away for around 7 hours at school then we're not even using it that long during weekdays

I’m in high school but I don’t see a problem with kids using their phones during lunch. I can’t really think of any issues it could cause.

I think that this knew policy doesn’t make sense, because having are phones out at a time that we are not learning is not distracting us from anything that is important.

Misclick, sorry, I meant to say that I think that it would be reasonable that we have our phones at lunch, since thats our free time for the day. We should be able to use our phones so that we would be able to check family messages just in case of certain plan changes within the family that you need to know about ahead of time.
